Scoring Rules

To access a pool’s scoring rules, open the desired pool from the myPools page.
Player roles are then found under the [Pool Settings -> Scoring Rules] menu item.
Only users with administrative privileges will see this menu item

Players in your pool get points based on their player role and how many points that role receives for a specific statistic value.
For example, if your ‘Forward’ role receives 2 points for a goal and 1 point for an assist, any player assigned the ‘Forward’ role will receive 2 points every time they score a goal, and 1 point each time they get an assist.

Rules for the default player roles have already been created. However you can edit these rules and create your own custom scoring rules

The scoring rules are laid out in a table format. The statistics are on the left side and the player roles for your pool run across the top.

To create a scoring rule, simply put a value in the box that relates the desired statistic to the player role. For example, if you wanted a forward to receive 2 points for a goal you would put a two in the box that relates to the Forward role and the Goals statistic.

If the statistic you require is not on the left side of the table, use the [Select a new Statistic] button to add the statistic you require. Armchair Pools supports over 40 NHL statistics.

If at any time you want to revert to the default scoring rules, use the [Reset Scoring Rules].

Once you are happy with the scoring rules as laid out on the table, press the [Save] button and your scoring rules will be saved to your pool. Note that if you change scoring rules when the pool is underway, players points will be adjusted accordingly
