
It is fitting that Phoenix - a team perpetually stuck in the bottom of the standings and mired in underachievement - would not be able to produce a quality dirty player.
Tyson Nash played 7 seasons in the NHL and collected 673 penalty minutes. He wasn't an exceptionally violent player, I could only find one instance of a suspension over his career and there are no famous stories of cheap hits. He wasn't known as a fighter. In fact he had a reputation for being good at avoiding fights. His Wikipedia entry is so empty that you don't have to scroll to see it in it's entirety. According to
his website, a major highlight in 2005 was having "abdominal surgery by Dr. William Myers in Philadelphia".
So what the hell did he do?
