Derek Boogaard is regarded as one of the toughest guys in the NHL. He has scored 10 points in 200 games with the Minnesota wild while racking up over 400 penalty minutes in the same timeframe. There is no question as to what is role is. He is on the team to fight, protect his team and to
occasionally elbow people to the head.
And now his role has diversified. Boorgaard has become a mentor for young kids who want to learn to fight. Boorgaard runs the
Derek Boogaard Fighting Camp for kids.
