NHL.com dedicates an entire 30-in-30 story to the
return of Aaron Ward to the Carolina Hurricanes. Significant because now he will be teammates with Scott Walker, the guy who
sucker-punched him to the ice in last year's playoffs.
It did seem as though Ward was about to drop his gloves when he was hit. And he was staring right at Scott Walker. So it is hard to call it a true sucker-punch. Regardless, I don't think Scott Walker is usually a cheap shot artist so I passed him by as my dirty player.
There aren't really a lot of dirty player in the Carolina Hurricanes history. I don't count good old Ulf since that was during the Hartford Whalers era and, well, Pittsburgh is coming up on the 24th and I'm saving him. However, since I am a Canucks fan, there was one name that stood out as I scanned through the all time list of all-time Carolina players.
