He wasn't a dirty player before his attack on Steve Moore, and nothing he has done since would qualify as dirty. So while I have tried throughout my Dirty 30-in-30 feature to not label players based on a single incident, I must make an exception in this case. Todd Bertuzzi's only career cheapshot was so ugly and had such extreme consequences that he has become the poster boy for violence and dirty play in hockey.

Yeah, I agree it’s ugly. How many years does he have to play clean to get a break. He’s been clean since. I could not STAND we signed him when we did. I thought, why do we need this thug?!
He just lost it for a moment. He’s been paying for it for years.
I’m now glad we signed him. I hate that he’s tagged with this. It makes me try to remember to not do stupid things in the C beer league-regardless of the stupid things that happen.
