With one playoff appearance to their name - one that came and went without a single victory - the outlook of the Atlanta Thrashers is bleak.
With only nine seasons under their belt, it was pretty hard to find a real dirty player amongst all Atlanta players - Especially when I had just finished writing about Chris Pronger. In fact, type in "Atlanta Thrashers dirty player" and you see Chris Pronger on the first page. Maybe this is going to be a trend? But I promise, I have used Pronger for Anaheim and I won't "go to the well" again with St Louis or Philadelphia.
“The [expletive] guy should be playing in the [expletive] East Coast Hockey League, but instead he takes out a [expletive] NHLer,” Tortorella said. “He’ll be suspended, but who [expletive] cares? No one wants to see him on the ice anyway.”
This was after a late elbow by Boulton on the Lightning's Paul Ranger. The elbow cost Boulton a 6 game suspension.
""He called and felt pretty bad," Ranger told the Times. He apologized. I don't think he meant to cheap shot me or anything. It was a natural kind of reaction (from him).
Uh huh. Sorry about that man, sometimes I give out cheap shots. I don't mean to, they just happen.
Have a look at the clip below. Will Boulton be a repeat offender, or just a one elbow wonder?
